The shoe is extremely well made and the leather is much thicker and sturdier than I anticipated, which is a very welcome observation in my book.
I was slightly surprised to see that the color that I ordered, dark brown, appeared identical to the slate coloring of the same style shoe. While this was not a major disappointment to me, please be aware of the variance when you order. It was easily remedied by treating the leather with coconut oil, as I do with all of my leather products. The oil brought the color to the deep, rich brown that you see in the photos.
Overall I'm overjoyed with this purchase. These shoes are my new "go to" shoes as they are luxurious and casual, comfortable and durable. They can be worn with a nice outfit on the town or with a bathing suit to the ocean and fit in nicely at both locations.
