The flex (sole) part of the shoe and arch space makes these tap shoes versatile when needing to do ballet-incorporating moves in tap (toe standing moves). Great quality sound from this tap. Soft achilles collar. Flock-lined for comfort inside. We keep buying this brand/style each season.

Very comfortable soft leather and the flex sole is comfortable and versatile for movements. Fairly true to size, my daughter wears an 8-1/2 or 9 in street shoes and she wears an 8-1/2 in these. Well made and durable shoes.

Love the split sole - makes intricate foot maneuvers easier. The taps are screwed in, which is a good thing. One thing I would change is to make the laces a bit longer-they have a tendency to come untied and the short length makes it difficult to get a good knot.
